VACATION EXTENDED TO SINGAPORE!!!
After a wonderful vacation in Palawan, Philippines I went to Singapore together with my cousin and her husband. I was really excited about it and I am a little nervous.Nervous because it's my first time to leave the country. We took the plane the night we came back from Palawan. After a couple of hours in the plane we finally arrived in Singapore! In my own opinion Singapore looks like the Philippines, but it is a lot cleaner, and the people were a lot disciplined than my own fellowmen. The weather is good and the temperature is great! It's sunny but unlike thew Philippines you easily burn your skin, but here it's not like that, and so as the sun, it's heat is kinds cool than there Philippines.
About the food, they have Chinese food, Indian food, Japanese food, Western dishes, Thai food, Malay food, Arabic dishes, Korean food, and a lot more! The must try's foo in Singapore are the following:
1.) Chicken Rice (roasted or steamed chicken with ginger rice)
Sometimes it has a vegetable side dish. The best place to get this is at Lucky Plaza, Orchard Road and at ECP ( East Coast Parkway)
2.) Laksa (spicy noodles in coconut sauce with some shrimps and vegetable)
The best place to have this is at ECP (east coast parkway).
NOTE: Don't try it somewhere else just at ECP.
3.) Mee Goreng ( fried rice with mixed vegetables, shrimp or salted fish)
The best place to have it is at Loyang Point.
4.) Chicken Steak ( chicken steak with rice or French fries)
The best place to have it is at Arab St.
5.) Wanton noodle soup ( wanton noodles)
The best place to have it at Clarke Quay Central Mall.
6.) Fried or Steamed Dumplings (dumplings)
The best place to have it is at Clarke Quay Central Mall.
7.) Nasi Briyani ( fried rice with chicken or lamb and curry soup.
The best place to have it is ANYWHERE!
8.) Fish Head Curry ( fish head in curry soup and rice)
The best place to have it is ANYWHERE!
9.) Prata (prata)
The best place to have it is at Arab St.
10.) Donuts - hehehe!
The best place is at J.CO Donuts located at Bugis.
About the drinks:
1.) Sour sop Juice - The best place to have it is ANYWHERE!
2.) Hazelnut Juice - The best place to have it is at Tampines MRT Station.
3.) Watermelon Juice - The best place it is at Clarke Quay Central mall.
4.) Coconut Juice -The best place to have it is ANYWHERE!
5.) Iced Chocolate - The best place to have it is at J.CO Donuts Bugis.
Those are the food and drinks that I tried and liked here in Singapore. Those are highly recommended! (2 thumbs up!) But there are a lot more to try. Those are the foods that my tongue will never forget.

Arena Island-Thank God I'm alive!!
Arena Island
Arena Island is known for their tortoise. They breed tortoise there. This is just a small island. It is really nice there. beautiful corals, plenty of baby turtles and big tortoise, some kinds of fish were breeded there also, and the trees there are incredible. Some of the trees were really big, unfortunately I was not able to get a picture with the trees. hehehe! Anyway here are some pictures of the baby and the big one's.
See how big it is? It weighs around 8-9 kilos, and some are 5kl. The babies are so cute. They are really small, I can't even imagine that they'll grow that big!
Actually this is the most exciting trip I ever had. Not only because it's my first time to ride a fisherman's boat, but also because we almost drowned. Yes you read it right "we ALMOST drowned", I even thought that would be the end of my life. Luckily, it's not! lol! Okay, so here how it goes. Wednesday morning, it was a beautiful morning, the sky is clear though the sun is not up it is still a beautiful day, we rented a fisherman's boat that could carry 6-8 persons. Everything went really well, all of us were excited to be at the Arena Island. We were chatting, talking about our dreams last night, telling jokes, and taking pictures. Suddenly, the waves are getting bigger and the boat is getting shaky. At first I didn't think of anything that will happen, I am not nervous at all. When I noticed that the waves are really really big that's the time that I am getting a little nervous. Everyone seems to be shocked by the waves and we are all silent. We are all looking at the island and thinking how long will it take for us to be there. We even asked the fisherman before we leave, we ask them "Is it really okay to go there now?" and the fisherman answered "Yeah. It's fine, the sea is calm anyway." Then I told the fisherman when we are experiencing that big waves coming to us "So, this is how when the sea is calm huh?!". then we all laughed, anyway it was meant to be a joke. I bet we are all getting nervous not only me, but we don't tell each other. We sat steadily in the boat and waiting. After 20 minutes or so, we saw the island, so we excitedly said "we're almost there!". Then we finally arrived to the island. Everyone is trying to act normal and pretending that nothing happened. So, we walked. Everyone keeps there selves busy, taking pictures, exploring the island, reading magazines and staring at the beautiful scenery. We spent couple of hours there. Then it rained really hard, but it didn't took long and stopped. We are not bothered about it anyway, after what we just experienced. lol! So the time has come for us to leave and go back to the resort. The story didn't end here, although nothing really bad happened but still it's really scary. On our way back, it is even worse than before. The boat's machine stopped in the middle of the sea, then one of the blue thing above the boat broke, and it makes the boat unbalanced. I got scared and nervous then, I tried to hide from them so I won't freak them out. Obviously all of us were really nervous that time. No one is talking and we all look that we are thinking of something deep. What I was thinking that time was "what if this thing broke and we all fell in the sea, who am I gotta save? My aunt can't swim and my cousin's mother-in-law is old and probably she can't swim too. I told myself that I could save myself cos I can swim but how about them?" Oh yeah I know, I'm close to freaking out then, but still I tried to hide it. After that, when we finally arrived at the resort, my aunt told me that she was praying the whole time. She was really scared but she hid it from us, then the others begin to say what's in their minds then. All of us are thinking of the same thing, but never really figured out what we'll do in case it happened.
This is the picture of the boat that we rode.
Now, we are all glad that nothing bad happened to us. And that experience will remain in our memories as one of the most exciting and freakiest thing that ever happened to us.
I know that all of us have different insight about it, and mine was stated in here.....

Dos Palmas Day!
Well let me tell you about the experience in Dos Palmas. I should say that it is really amazing, the place is really beautiful. I should say that it is the warmest welcome I've ever experienced. Dos Palmas is an island in Palawan, its famous because of it's beautiful surrounding and with their floating cottages. Imagine you're sleeping over the water and theres a school of fish down under.
I would say it is the warmest welcome ever. As we arrive at the resort, the crew is right at the entrance and playing some instruments and singing. It's like their song for their guests. Then they gave us a glass of drink immediately. The juice was really good. And while we are walking to the resorts restaurant for some orientation about the rules of the resort, the crew are singing again. Such a nice place and very hospitable people.
There are lots of activities, such as kayak, snorkel and dive. I did that all actually. It was my first time to do snorkeling, diving and the kayaking thing. And I really enjoyed each of it. I was amazed with the snorkeling, it's just awesome, that while I swim, there are school of fish swimming right next to me, and that feels really great. And we saw the giant clam ever lived, it was really big and it's so cute. Actually I got afraid when the diver touched it, cos I thought the giant clam will smash his hands off, but the giant clam was so nice and very gentle with the diver's hand. It slowly closes its shells, as if it was just a show or something. About the diving, actually we didn't really did Scuba Diving because my cousin said that it may cause brain damage, and I don't wanna damage my brain anymore, cos it's already damaged and totally wrecked. hehe! ( I was just kidding cos I don't wanna bore you while reading my blog). What I love the most is the kayak, it was really good, I felt like I was a "professional kayaker." hehe! We did that the whole day. And that day was unforgettable because while we are kayaking I thought that I was good enough to do snorkeling at the same time. So I row and row through the snorkeling sight and then jumped into the water without the vest, I didn't realize that the wind is getting stronger and the waves are getting big. When I jumped onto the water, the waves just carried me underneath the floor of the entrance, and I didn't know that there are many harmful things under, and I bumped there and suddenly hurt my toes and scratched my legs. So what I did was fight the current and swim to the other so I could climb up the stairs. I just realized that i was hurt and wounded when I got off the water and saw my toe and my legs bleeding. " Ay! Shittt! nasugatan pala ako! (I got wounded!)." I said to myself. So I just chill there for awhile. That event doesn't stop me for enjoying, so what I did was get back to the kayak and row again like nothing happened. hehe! (What A crazy devil I was! Huh?!).
There's a sad part in that story actually, it's when it's time for us to leave and go back to Puerto Princesa. So then we rode a boat, (the big one's not a fisherman's boat! well actually that's another story). Back to Honda bay and then rode a bus back to Puerto Princesa. I could say, that was a very tiring day, lots of activities I actually didn't felt that I was tired that day, I just felt it when we are back at the hotel. I slept like I was dead! And that's how the Dos Palmas day ended!
Farewell Dos Palmas!

Paradise it is...
I have been to Palawan for 2 weeks. I went there together with my cousin Jade along with other relatives. Even though it's my second time to be there I was still stunned and amazed about the beauty of the island such as the virgin forests, gorgeous beaches, peaceful city, amazing caves, mysterious falls, live corals, the beautiful scenery and most specially the very nice and hospitable people. I just can't help myself, I'm really excited about it and I'm gonna post alot! Expect that! I'm gonna divide into different journeys. But before that I wanna give you a peek into the wonderful province of Palawan.
A little trivia about Palawan...
Palawan is the largest province of the Philippines in terms of land surface. Approximately 1,489,655 hectares of mountains and lowlands. It is also one of the richest province of the country in terms of natural resources. Palawan itself is a chain of islands and islets lying along the northwest margin of Sulu and China Seas. Palawan is really a living paradise, and I can't stop myself from falling in love with its alluring beauty.
It is a very relaxing and romantic place. How ever you look at it, will match your taste. It is very suitable for the nature lover and as well as the non-nature lovers.
I'm pretty sure that Palawan will leave it's mark in our hearts and in our minds.
